The Black & Decker G48TD Grill and Waffle Baker produces four 4.5-inch square waffles at a time, making it a good choice for families. The waffles are somewhat thinner than Belgian-type waffles but there's no compromise on taste - perhaps, though, a few less calories and carbs (based on your recipe). It's reasonably priced and great for making a special, unique weekend meal for you and your partners in life.

I am very pleased with this waffle iron. We love the ability to make waffles or grilled sandwiches even more than we expected. This waffle iron does take some time to heat up, but other than that, it's a great buy!

We are very satisfied, but it does not make Belgium waffles that we ordered.Makes great sandwitches. waffles quite thin but we still like all the other features. The Grill plates are very easy to remove & wash & replace.L J R.

We needed a waffle maker of four waffles as our old one wore out, and waffles are always requested when grandkids arrive. This one sounded like what we were looking for, at least what I wanted. Removable plates for waffle or griddle use, easy clean-up, and small enough to store easily. It seems my husband had his heart set on Big Waffles....like Belgium Waffles! This is not a Belgium waffle maker, nor was it proclaimed to be. This is a very good product as long as you are happy with waffles of pancake thickness.

I bought this to replace the same model that stopped working after many years of use. The new one doesn't heat as evenly as the old one -- the center is obviously a lot hotter than the outer edges. The grill looks the same as the old one but seems to be lighter and cheaper made. Still, if you want old fashioned waffles and not Belgian style, this might be the best option available.

This was actually a replacement purchase. I have had this exact model since getting married, and when it finally died, I wanted the same model. I use mine all the time for pancakes, waffles, etc. Works great and lasted a long time.
